General Membership Information

How long are memberships valid for?

Memberships are valid for 365 days.
Memberships which do not require an annual credentials verification are recurring by default. You may cancel at any time via your member profile page.
Memberships such as Student/resident/post-doctorate fellow member or trainee member, which require an annual credentials verification expire after 365 days, and credentials must be submitted in order to renew.

What credentials are required for membership?

Each membership category has it’s own set of required credentials for membership. The pricing page has links to each membership category and provides detailed descriptions of what credentials (if any) are required to be eligible for membership. If you are unsure whether you meet the listed requirements, please email us at membership@css-scs.ca  prior to registering.

Please note that the credentials required for membership may not be the same as the credentials required to be eligible for listing on our Provider Map. The information for each membership category will clearly identify the differences.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards processed via Stripe (A Stripe account is not required to pay via credit card) and PayPal payments.

Recurring Memberships

How do recurring memberships work?

Recurring memberships will auto-renew every 365 days. Rather than needing to login to the CSS website and complete a membership renewal form, you can simply register once, and then we will automatically charge your payment method on file each year (which you can change at any time).

If your membership is about to expire, you will receive an email confirmation notifying you that your membership is preparing to auto-renew. Should you wish, you may cancel your membership at this time and no charges will be made.

How do I cancel a recurring membership?

To cancel a recurring membership, login to your membership account, click on “Cancel”, and then confirm.

Where/how is payment information stored?

All payment details are managed securely and meet the standards of PCI Compliance as outlined by the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS).
